PeriOptixTM Launching its New Micro Optics Technology at the California Dental Association Meeting Later This Month
San Clemente, CA – September 7, 2011 – PeriOptix™, one of the nation’s leading providers of high quality magnification and illumination systems for medical and dental professionals, will be launching its newest micro optics lens technology at the California Dental Association meeting in San Francisco, CA on September 22-24, 2011
PeriOptix will be showcasing its new MicroLine™ Flip-Ups along with its newest generation through-the-lens (TTL) loupes and mini LED headlight. PeriOptix new MicroLine loupes feature a radically new lens design that is less than 1/3 the size of conventional optics, yet delivers performance equivalent to loupes weighing much more.
“The number one complaint we hear constantly from hygienists and dentists are that loupes are too heavy”, states Keith Tholin, president and founder of PeriOptix. “Our MicroLine loupes are a game-changer”, reports Tholin. “When we combine our new micro optics with our exclusive Adidas sports frame, the result is a loupe experience that is beyond compare in the industry. Importantly, we are able to bring these to the market at a price point that is below heavier, bulkier loupes with inferior optics.” The PeriOptix MicroLine loupes can be combined with the MicroLine mini LED, which weighs only 6.9 grams yet produces 40,000 lux of illumination. “The MicroLine loupe coupled with our new MicroLine mini headlight is a package that no other company can come close to matching in size, performance or price”, concludes Mr. Tholin. “We expect to shake up the market with our new MicroLine series”.
The new MicroLine flip up loupes feature a newly designed hinge and a maximized field of vision for unobstructed, effortless over-the-top visibility. The patented Optilock technology automatically and securely locks in the user’s personal settings. Once the loupes are set to their proper alignment, the optics never move out of place. That, coupled with the double hinge design, allows optics to smoothly return to the same position every time. Also, the steep declination angle provided by the Optilock design can help eliminate neck, back and eye strain—a common problem encountered by dentists and hygienists due to their working environment.
Attendees at the upcoming CDA will have the opportunity to utilize PeriOptixTM dental loupes and headlights in a simulated dental operatory within their booth. This unique opportunity offers prospective customers the ability to try various magnification levels and working distances that best meet their needs.
“The CDA show is a great venue for us to reach the dentists and hygienists across the country to showcase our innovative loupes and portable headlight systems.” According to Mr. Tholin, “We are looking forward to introducing dentists and hygienists to our completely redesigned flip up loupe system,”
