PeriOptix™ Introduced The Future of Flip-Up Loupes at the American Dental Association’s 150th Annual Session This Month

San Clemente, CA – October 7, 2009 – PeriOptixTM, one of the nation’s leading providers of high quality magnification and illumination systems for medical and dental professionals, displayed its systems at the American Dental Association’s 150th Annual Session on September 30 – October 4 in Honolulu, Hawaii. PeriOptixTM conducted product demonstrations of its magnification and illumination systems to dentists and hygienists. The company showcased its new Flip-Up Loupes - redesigned, rethought and reengineered from hinge to lens. PeriOptixTM new Flip-Up Loupes feature a panoramic lens design with no protruding knobs and a maximized field of vision for unobstructed, effortless over-the-top visibility heretofore found only in custom, through the lens loupes. Also, the declination angle is the steepest in the industry— up to 50-degrees, which can help eliminate neck, back and eye strain—a common problem encountered by dentists and hygienists due to their working environment.

The new loupes introduced by PeriOptix also feature watertight optics, that allow for complete cleaning and disinfecting between cases. All of PeriOptix magnification systems have an exclusive feature not available on any other loupe: the PeriOptixTM “Set and Forget” feature for automatically and securely locking in personal settings. Once the loupes are set by the user to their proper alignment, the optics never move. That, coupled with the double hinge design, allows optics to smoothly return to the same position every time.

Booth attendees had the opportunity to utilize PeriOptixTM dental loupes and headlights in a simulated dental operatory. This unique opportunity offered prospective customers the ability to try various magnification levels and working distances that best meet their needs.
