ABOUT US
Our mission at PeriOptix™ is to enhance the performance of care given by healthcare professionals through high quality, innovative and differentiated products. Our strategy is to focus on our core competencies in optics and illumination and to introduce only products with distinctive features and improvements over existing products on the market.
In the few years since its founding, Perioptix has introduced a number of innovations that include a unique modular frame system for loupes, the first portable LED light source, and a proprietary locking mechanism designed to simplify the adjustment of flip up style loupes.
Adidas Sports Frames
In late 2009, Perioptix entered an exclusive partnership arrangement with AdidasTM sportswear to provide the Adivista, T-Sight and Golf sportsframes to the dental and surgical market. Adidas frames are unmatched for their styling and comfortable fit and feature full wrap around shields, adjustable temples and nosepads.
MicroTTLs (Through The Lens)
In 2009, PeriOptix introduced to the market its first TTL (through-the-lens) loupe. The MicroTTLs, available on both ultralight titanium and sports frames, are the smallest and most compact loupe system weighing only 28 grams, including the frame
Solaris™ LED portable headlight
In 2008, PeriOptix again set a new standard with the introduction of the Solaris portable LED headlight. The Solaris delivers an amazing 80,000 lux (7500 foot candles) of illumination at a 14 inch working distance. In 2009, two independent dental testing laboratories rated Solaris the #1 dental headlight compared to all others tested.
PeriStar II: The next generation LED
In 2007, Perioptix introduced the PeriStar II™ LED, its second generation portable light. The PeriStar II was the brightest LED on the market and features a patented Hybrid™ lens/reflector system. The innovative battery pack weighs only 6.6 ounces and uses state of-the-art Lithium Ion batteries that easily and quickly snap into a "holster" worn on the belt or in a pocket. It is supplied with a 90 minute multivolt (US and International) base charger.
"Optilock" design significantly improves the user friendliness of loupes
In 2005, the company developed and introduced the patented Optilock technology which locks the interpupillary distance and convergence of the loupes. Up to this time, all flip-up style loupes required the user to adjust the individual interpupillary (IP) distance each time they were worn. The PeriOptix Optilock technology automatically locks in the individua's IP distance once it is set so it no longer needs to be adjusted, no matter how often the loupes are taken on and off. This exclusive design by PeriOptix has vastly improved the user friendliness of flip-up style loupes.
Hogies introduced by PeriOptix in 2004
In 2004, PeriOptix brought to the US market a revolutionary new delivery platform for loupes. The Hogies™ frame system, developed in Australia by Martin Hogan, Pty. Ltd., incorporates an innovative modular system whereby the optics, shields and nosepad are attached by a strong magnet to a sleek-looking wrap-around sports frame. In the past few years, Hogies have become a well-established brand and have set the standard for new frame innovation in the loupe market.
PeriLux: the first portable dental LED headlight
In 2003, PeriOptix introduced the first battery powered LED headlight system for dentistry. The PeriLux LED light uses advanced LED (light emitting diode) technology that incorporates a patented reflector to focus the light to an incredibly brilliant beam. The LED chip virtually never needs replacement and is so efficient that the batteries ast all day on an overnight charge.
In the first two years, PeriLux became the market's leading portable light contributing significantly to the company's growth.
